Horse Fly Spray Concentrate FlyMac
FlyMac Horse Fly Spray is a pure concentrate of high active ingredients Neem Oil and Lemon Eucalyptus
Our suppliers sell several grades of Neem Oil and ours is triple filtered with the highest grade of active ingredients for strength and potency.
FlyMac is water soluble so you only need to add water.
The different size bottles allow between 3 and 27 litres of Fly spray.
FlyMac has a lovely lemony fragrance and horses actively enjoy the spray as there is no offensive smell.
Undiluted FlyMac will have a shelf life of 2 years.
Diluted FlyMac has a shelf life of max 7 days, however freshly made is always best.
We recommend a ratio of 1-10 oil to water ratio, but during high fly burden days you can crank it up to 1-6 ratio.. which personally I do for the added benefit and longer lasting effect particularly during mid summer when the air is teaming with midges, black flies and horse flies.
Some things to think about for all fly sprays - Heat, wind, sweat and your horses activity will play a part in the longevity of effectiveness. So on calm days and calm horses, expect a sprays effectiveness to last longer because evaporation is in play but the added benefit of FlyMac is that due to the oils and essential oils the evaporation rate is much slower.
Due to its added vegetable extract emulsifier and water based dilution this is safe to use in the sunshine.
Some things to consider
Neem oil undiluted solidifies in cool temperatures. So to make it runny just either pop the bottle under your arm, leave in a warm room or run it under a tepid tap. This does not take long.
Once mixed with water, it will remain runny.
Do not leave in the sunlight.
For your spray bottle - The hose/nozzle can sometimes clog but this is easily overcome by flushing your spray bottle through with warm/hot water.
For your horse - FlyMac is easily showered off wth only water, no soaps required.
Spray liberally to the body and use a sponge or hands to wipe over the face and ears.
Be sure to spray liberally and of course you can without feeling stingy as its so economical and cover all areas.
FlyMac has a longer effect due to it being an oil base as it does not evaporate quickly like most other formulas on the market.
Heat, sweat, actvity
FlyMac is incredibly cost effective, all natural and very effective against flies and midges.
